ISBA Prizes

ISBA co-sponsors a variety of awards for outstanding contributions in the field of Bayesian statistical analysis, including:

• The DeGroot Prize (for a book in statistical science)
• The Lindley Prize (for a contributed paper at an ISBA world meeting)
• The Mitchell Prize (for a Bayesian analysis of an important applied problem)
• The Savage Award (for outstanding doctoral dissertations).

In May 2007 ISBA consolidated all the then-existing Prizes and Awards awarded by the association, superseding their original charters by the new Bylaw C. This established a six-person ISBA Prize Committee, which in turn appoints Award Committees devoid of conflicts-of-interest for each prize.
