Sections of the
International Society for Bayesian Analysis
- A group normally of at least 30 ISBA members may petition the Board to be designated as a section.
- Such a petition states:
- The initial bylaws of the section. These bylaws give:
- The name of the section.
- The purpose of the section and how it fits within the overall aim of ISBA.
- The offices, duties and terms of offices.
- How election of section officers are to be conducted.
- How membership in the section is defined. All members of
the section shall be ISBA members.
- The method of amendment of the bylaws, which shall include
approval of amendments by the ISBA Board.
- The identities of the initial officers of the section (chair, secretary and treasurer)
each of whom shall be ISBA members.
- The bylaws and activities of the section shall be in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws of ISBA,
as interpreted by the ISBA Board of Directors. Each section submits an annual report to the President by April.
A section that fails to submit a report for three consecutive years shall be considered as having ceased functioning
and will be abolished or suspended after approval by majority vote of the Board.
- Each section's bylaws and the names of the officers shall be posted on the ISBA website.
- News of the section activities will be reported in the Bulletin.
