Mass Mailings to ISBA Membership List

ISBA respects the privacy of its members. Since members have not "opted in" to receive e-mail announcements, we do not make our membership list available to third parties, nor do we support mass mailings to our members. We use our membership mailing list only for ISBA business, such as ISBA elections and awards or announcements of ISBA world meetings. Requests for such mailings to the ISBA membership should be directed to any member of the ISBA Executive Committee.

Other avenues exist for reaching most members of the Bayesian community. One option is StatLib's Mailing List "bayes-news". Those with interest in Bayesian statistics can join the mailing list by filling out this form or by sending an e-mail with message body: subscribe bayes-news to majordomo@stat.cmu.edu. Announcements may be distributed to list subscribers by sending them as e-mail messages to bayes-news@stat.cmu.edu. At present the list has about 800 subscribers and distributes about 10 messages per month.

Members of the American Statistical Association (ASA)'s Section on Bayesian Statistical Science (SBSS) may submit announcements to all SBSS members (except those who have opted out of receiving such mailings) by following the on-line directions. At present that list includes about 1500 members.

The founder and maintainer of the Valencia Mailing List for the international Valencia Meetings on Bayesian Statistics, Prof. José M Bernardo, distributes occasional digests of announcements of interest to Bayesians. Submission requests may be sent by e-mail to valenciameeting@uv.es. Those with interest in Bayesian statistics may join by filling out this form. At present that list includes about 2000 members.

Announcements of interest to ISBA members may also be submitted for publication in the quarterly ISBA Bulletin, by sending e-mail requests to bulletin@bayesian.org or for inclusion in an appropriate part of the ISBA Website, by sending an e-mail request to the webmaster.
